These pictures have been put here for Suzanne Lee, a photographer that I was lucky enough to meet on my journey around the world. These are MY amateur holiday pictures.

If you would like to see excellent professional photographs go to Suzanne Lee. She is an amazing photographer and a wonderful person...enjoy!

Hello Suzanne, these are some of what I think were my better pictures from my holiday.
When you have some time, I'd really like to know what you think.
What is right, if anything and what is wrong. Please be critical, cus I really want to learn.
Just don't hurt my feelings! Kidding, of course...if criticism doesn't bother me, then I don't care enough, so fire away!

Hi James,
glad you uploaded the pics and i'm happy to give my input on the shots..

1. good shot.. but the given situation is a little drab.. maybe a tighter crop would've been better.. the blue thing at the bottom of the frame is puzzling. also, lower exposure would've been good to give some detail to the sky and some mood to the barren boat.

2. too much space above the head, the background is over exposed. she's got a beam growing out of her head.. you could've stepped to your left a little to solve that, popped a fill flash and expose for the background instead, or something in between.

3. Great shot! would've loved to see a little more of the right of the frame.. if you had a slightly wider shot it would've been good to get more of the coast line in.

4. Hey, Malaysia! remembering that these towers have been shot by almost everyone who's been there, it's interesting to know that you tried to get a different perspective. but the composition doesn't quite work with the angle that you took. go backk and shoot it again! hahah..

5. good timing.. need to work out the lines in the picture a bit better. too messy..

6. bad shot.. this shouldn't even be in your edit.

7. halong bay.. good shot.. but you cut out the boats on the bottom right corner.. tut tut.

8. nice.

9. the exposure's all outta whack in this shot.. ugly harsh contrast on her face.. left side is distracting.. over exposed umbrella in the background. bad time of day to shoot.. should've shot her in a bit of shade.

10. good timing, bad composition and angle.. could've done better..

11. good shot but boring. a low angle could've worked better, also not including the in roofs would've solved the exposure problem with them. unnecessary and distracting.

12. bad angle.. doesn't show what the white statue is.. is it a statue, an alter.. what is it? and the space behind the monk with all the beams leading out of the frame doesn't work. neither does the stairs.. could've gotten a better shot by exploring better angles

13. nice capture.. could improve with some slow shutter speed to create movement. also, the interesting building on the right of the truck could've been shown better instead of the cars parked on the right of the frame.

(my 2 cents worth of input.. bear in mind that photography is an art.. subject to personal opinions.. beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.. )
